Building medical AI in the AIM for Health Lab (AIM-LAB), Monash University Australia:

• DermArena — a unified, multimodal, pan-speciality dermatology benchmark for evaluating medical multimodal LLMs across diagnosis, diagnostic test ordering, dermatopathology, treatment planning, and genomic variant-origin tasks, with rigorous data-leakage control.
• Dermatology Multimodal LLM — instruction-tuning and benchmark experiments for a dermatology MLLM built on the PanDerm and DermFM-Zero vision foundation models, running fine-tuning ablations across different LLM decoders and high-resolution image encoders, with a curated instruction-tuning dataset.
• IMAGE Trial DermAI — a role-based clinical web application where clinicians review skin-lesion cases alongside AI predictions, engineered to Monash Very Sensitive (VS) data controls with single sign-on and end-to-end access control.

Researching multimodal MRI–proteomics models for Alzheimer's disease detection — benchmarking fusion strategies and foundation-model representations to uncover biomarkers under limited paired-data settings. Supervised by Dr. Tan Mei Sze.

Built and shipped healthcare-AI products spanning medical computer vision and clinical LLMs — from patient-facing symptom checking to clinical decision support — including national deployments with Malaysia's Ministry of Health, in partnership with NVIDIA and Intel.

Developed sign-language anonymisation algorithms and speech-to-text / text-to-speech tools.

Adapted massive multilingual foundation models through transfer learning and domain adaptation to push machine translation into ultra-low-resource languages — extending usable translation quality to languages with almost no parallel data.

↗ This research shipped into Serval, a real-world translation product.

Built a baby blood-glucose monitoring app as part of my degree project placement with an NHS team, under Dr. Martyn Boutelle (Imperial College London).
